Lewis Services for Jack B. Lewis, 87, of Ruston will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, November 27,1999, in Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston. Officiating will be Rev. Kirby Vining. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery in Simsboro under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Lewis died Tuesday, November 23,1999, in Ruston after a brief illness. Mr. Lewis was a retired barber for 5O years, a retired school bus driver and timberman. He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church in Simsboro. Mr. Lewis also coached and played for local baseball teams for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Lee Lewis; son, Max Lewis; and a daughter,Jerry Zawada. He is survived by four daughters, Jackie Vining and husband Kirby of Ruston, Billie,S.Lewis of Denver, Colo., Lynda L, Foersterling and husband Milton of Mandeville, and Sheri Burt and husband Bill of Simsboro; grandchildren, Karen Vining of Trinity, Texas, Michael Vining of Arlington, Texas, Alice Vining of Ruston, Carey and Katie Zawada of Denver, Colo., Stephen Zawada of Madisonville, Miss., Melanie Daussin of Abita Springs, Lee Foersterling of Mandeville, Max Todd Lewis of Baton Rouge, Jennifer Strickland of Ruston, Rebecca and Alex Burt of Simsboro; four great grandchildren, Ryan and Megan Lewis and Zachary and Macy Zawada; one sister, Willie Nell Arnold of Mandeville; one brother, Dick Lewis of Livingston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Children's Home or the Antioch Methodist Church in Simsboro. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
