Officiating will be Father Jerome Thelen. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Lyon died Sunday, October 3, 1999, in the Lincoin General Hospital. Mrs. Lyon was born in Raton, N.M., February 26, 1915, the daughter of Robert and Ethel Tomlinson. She received her bachelor's degree from Mills College and her Master's in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University. With her late husband, Frank Lyon, they founded Ruston Office and Photo Supply in 1950. She was a charter member of Quota Club as well as being a member of the League of Women Voters and the National Federation of the Blind. She had served on the Ruston Planning and Zoning Commission and the Ruston Mental Health and Substance Abuse Board. Mrs. Lyon was blessed to have had Evelyn Levingston, Pinkie Johnson, Lela Silas and Nora Jackson as caregivers for many years. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Tuesday, October 5,1999, at the funeral home.
