                 Martha Estelle Williams Martin

Graveside services for Martha Estelle Williams Martin, 93, of
Ruston, will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, January 12, 2000, at Douglas
Cemetery in Ruston with Rev . Bennie Lemerey officiating.  Burial
will be under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Martin died Saturday, January 8, 2000 at Lincoln General
Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Ruston Church
of God and was a private sitter for years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Martin  Sr.,
two sons,  E. L. Martin and Stanton Perry Martin; two daughters,
Vater Gipson and Susan Martin.

Survivors include two sons, Jake Martin and wife Nell of Ruston,
Frank Wayne Martin of Ruston; three daughters, Opal Madden and
husband Buddy of Ruston, Patsy Jane Shelton and husband John R. of
Simsboro and Mary Sue Nowell and husband Bob of Corpus Christi,
Texas; 36 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren.

 Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday at the fune-

ral home.
