                          Vera McCurry


     Services for Mrs. Vera McCurry, 79, of West Monroe, LA will be
held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2000 in the Fellowship Baptist
Church, Dubach, LA with Rev.  R. 0. Sparks officiating.

     Interment will be in Fellowship Cemetery in Dubach, LA under
the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

     Mrs. McCurry died Friday, July 14, 2000 in West Monroe, LA. 
She was born in Dubach, LA.  She was retired from Field's Depart-

ment Store.

     Mrs. McCurry was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Charles (Allie) Broughton of Dubach, LA;  two brothers, Harold
L. Broughton and Hershel Gray Broughton; and a sister, Dorothy Rose
Broughton.

     Survivors include her children, Barbara Ann Dowell and husband
Obie of Lafayette, LA, Lonnie Wayne McCurry and wife Nell of West
Monroe, LA and Carolyn Wallace of West Monroe, LA; two brothers,
Carlos Broughton and wife Mary Angela of Houston, TX and Jimmy D.
Broughton and wife Ann of Columbia, MS; one sister, Pat Colvin and
husband Thomas of  Lafayette, LA; five grandchildren, Dawn Prewitt
of Lafayette, LA, Lonnie W. McCurry, Jr. and wife Patti of West
Monroe, LA, Cindy Acree and husband Danny of West Monroe, LA, Lora
Ann Garsee of Alto, LA and Danny Wallace and wife Tasha of
Gonzales, LA; and eleven great grandchildren.

     Pallbearers will be Carlos Broughton, Jimmy D. Broughton,
Thomas W. Colvin, Lonnie W. McCurry, Jr., Danny Wallace and Danny
Acree.
