Burial followed in Simsboro City Cemetery in Simsboro, Louisiana, with services under the direction of Owens Memorial Funeral Home of Ruston. Jimmy passed away at the age of 69 on December 26, 2011 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center, in Ruston, Louisiana after a brief illness. He was born May 12, 1942 to Elmer & Amy Mills of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Jimmy was a self-employed logging contractor for Castor, Louisiana for many years and continued working in the logging industry until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer & Amy Mills and several brothers and sisters; as well as his best friend Doyle Martin, and Dave George Woods; both from Castor, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Martha B. Mills; his son Jimbo Mills and wife Teresa of Arcadia, Louisiana; his daughters: Tonya Mills and Bill Rowell of Dubach, Louisiana; Carla Sanford of Dubach and Sherry and husband Michael Ulsh, of Hawaii; his grandkids: Kassie and Kaleb Mills, of Arcadia, Louisiana; Shelby Lynn and Josh Ulsh of Hawaii, and a special great nephew, K.D. McKinney, of Ruston, Louisiana. Pallbearers will be Tim Rowell, Jerry Rowell, Joe Jeffers, Frank Jeffers, Trey Williams, Harm Williams, Trey Dowdy, and Mike Burgess. The Honorary Pallbearers are Donnie Williams, Russell Kettler, Troy Page, Jay Martin, Cotton Jester, Tony Havard, Julius Havard, and Huey Havard.
