Charles Malone officiating. Burial was in Bernice City Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr. O'Bannon, died Friday September 20, 2013. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of both WWII and Korea. Mr. O'Bannon worked as a civilian at Fort Rucker, Al. in the maintenance of helicopters for Northrop Aviation Corp. and also worked in Cairo, Egypt overseeing and instructing helicopter maintenance. He is preceded in death by his wife-Florein O'Bannon; Parents-Sam W. O'Bannon and Eula O'Bannon, one brother-Jack O'Bannon. Survivors are his wife, Verda Prewitt Stall O'Bannon: Daughter, Cheryl Bolick(Joseph Bolick); Grand-daughters, Tori Piltz (Matt), Staci Mahoney (Dan), Brandi Bolick; Great grandchildren Olivia Mahoney, Jackson & Brady Piltz; Stepdaughters, Karla Stall Williams (Gary) and Debra Stall (Matt). Step-grandchildren-Rachael Lary (Ben), Nathan Kelley, Trey Parker (Brittney), Colin Brice, and John Starner: Step-Great grandchildren, Jake and Emma Lary, and Embry Parker; Brother, Billy Ross O'Bannon (Betty F.); Nieces, Sharon O Parker (Gary), Lisa O'Bannon, Nephews ; Phil O'Bannon (Alice), Jackie O'Bannon. Pallbearers: Phil O'Bannon, Gary Parker, Terry Joe Oliver, Mike Colvin, Wess Bowen and Stan Elkins. Honorary pallbearers: W. C.
