Rasbery of Simsboro Buried Monday Afternoon SIMSBORO, April 4.—Funeral services for James H. Rasbery, age 58, were held in the high school auditorium here Monday afternoon at 2:30, with Rev. Pete McCullin, close friend of the deceased, conducting the services, assisted by Rev. A. P. Smith, pastor of the local Methodist church, Rev. Mathews of Clay, and Rev. Emmett Jones, pastor of the Baptist Church of Bienville. Mr. Rasbery had been ill for only one week with pneumonia and everything that loving hands and medical aid could do was done, but to no avail. He had lived his entire life in this community and the large concourse of sorrowing friends that came to pay tribute to his memory and the many beautiful floral offerings were evidence of the esteem in which he was held. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his widow, three boys and three girls, who are Hightower, J. T. and Jerome, Misses Elizabeth and Jimmie Fern Rasbery, all of this place, and Mrs. Corinne Allen of Minden, and one granddaughter, Virginia Allen, of Minden; two sisters, Mrs. R. E. Daniel, of Roswell, New Mexico, and Mrs. H. G. Pesnell, of Girard, La., and three brothers, Allen, Pearson and Jake, all of Simsboro. Pallbearers were Messrs. Chas. King, Jim Pirkle, Albert Madden, Lloyd Mullin, Earl McGuire, and Jeff Napper. Interment was made in the Simsboro Cemetery with Conger's Funeral Home in charge. Additional Comments: James married Leathie Pauline HOWELL on July 1, 1903. He was the son of John Wesley RASBERY Jr & Nancy Catherine SEXTON.
