Mr. Murray P. Rasbury Sr.
   Funeral services for Mr. Murray P. Rasbury Sr., 81, of Ruston, will be held 
at 2 p.m., Monday, May 11 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston with Rev. 
Walter Parr officiationg assisted by Rev. James Evans.
   Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
   Mr. Rasbury was a retired major with the U. S. Army and was a retired school 
teacher with the Ouachita Parish School System where he taught for many years 
at West Monroe Junior High School.  He was a native of Lincoln Parish and was a 
member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where he served as Historian 
and a Steward.
   Mr. Rasbury was also a member of the Masons.  He had been married for the 
past 56 years to his wife, the former Edith Nugent.
   Mr. Rasbury died Saturday, May 9 at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston 
following a lengthy illness.
   Survivors include his wife, Edith Nugent Rasbury of Ruston, one daughter 
Anne Rasbury Green of Gulf Breeze, Fla., one son Murray P. Rasbury Jr., of 
Ruston, one brother Will Rasbury, of Ruston, and four grandchildren Michael 
Rasbury, Amy Rasbury, both of Ruston, Steven Green of Pensacola, Fla., and 
Vikki Green DeWeese of Marietta, Ga.
   Pallbearers will be grandsons: Michael Rasbury, Stephen Green, Jeff DeWeese 
and other relatives.
   Visitation hours will be from 5 till 8 p.m. on Sunday and 9 a.m. till 
service time on Monday at the funeral home.
