KYLE DAVID STINSON RICHARDSON



Kyle David Stinson Richardson, 55, of Atlanta, Georgia, died on Tuesday, Dec. 
4, 2012, at his home. Mr. Richardson was born in Ruston, LA, on Sept. 16, 
1957, to Lacey Stinson and Mary Stinson Richardson. Kyle's father was 
tragically taken when Kyle was 11 months old, and he was then lovingly reared 
by his mother Mary and her second husband, Joe Mitchell Richardson.

Kyle graduated from Dunwoody High School in Atlanta in 1976, played high 
school football, and attended Louisiana Tech University. Kyle worked in the 
swimming pool business in the greater Atlanta area throughout his career. 
During his life he maintained a steady love of the outdoors, and was 
especially fond of fishing, windsurfing, camping and the perfect campfire. 
Kyle was introspective, loved his brothers and his family deeply, and was an 
astute observer of both the natural and human environments. He loved a good 
joke and, because of his quiet nature, sometimes found himself on the 
receiving end of his brothers’ pranks. On one occasion, Kyle was actually 
temporarily left behind during a brief rest stop on a trip home from the beach 
with his family and friends. When they returned to recover him, he was sitting 
comfortably on the soda cooler, nonchalantly sipping a Coca-Cola.

Kyle is preceded in death by fathers Lacey Stinson and Joe Mitchell 
Richardson. He is survived by his mother Mary Richardson of Ruston, LA, 
brothers Kerry of Hallsville, TX, Trey of Atlanta, GA, and Mark of Ruston, LA. 
He is also survived by nephews and nieces, Mitchell of Canton, GA, John and 
Nick of Ruston, LA, Kalen of Hallsville, TX, and Amanda and Katie of Atlanta, 
GA.

Graveside services for Kyle will be held in Ruston, LA, in December at a later 
date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be 
made to American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
