The Ruston Daily Leader - Thursday, September 30, 1999 Cameron Townsend Richmond Cameron Townsend Richmond, 18, a freshman at Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, and a resident of Zachary since August, died '- Tuesday, September 28, 1999, as a result of a jet-ski boating accident in Pensacola, Fla. He was born in Zachary and was a former resident of Council Bluff, Iowa. Please note that funeral services for he & his sister, Laura Richmond, will be held Friday, October 1, 1999, at 1 p.m. at the Plains Presbyterian Church near Zachary. Officiating will be Rev. R. W. Markert. Interment will be in the Young Family Cemetery under the direction of Charlet Funeral Home of Zachary. Visitation will be at the Plains Presbyterian Church Thursday from 6 p.m.until 9 p.m. and at the church Friday from 9 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. He was a graduate of Lewis Central High School, Council Bluff, where he was an honor student and played football during his senior year. He was pledged to Delta Chi fraternity at Louisiana Tech. He attended John Knox Presbyterian Church in Ruston with his sister. Survivors include his parents, the Rev. Randall G. "Randy" and Terry Townsend Richmond of Zachary; a brother, William Randall Richmond of Zachary; grandparents, Mary Land Richmond of Choudrant, and Frances H. and James Jacocks of Zachary; and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Beth Richmond, on Saturday, September 25, 1999; and grandfathers, Ike Townsend and Fred Richmond. ------------------------- The Ruston Daily Leader - Thursday, September 30, 1999 Laura Beth Richmond Laura Beth Richmond, 20, a junior at Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, and a resident of Zachary since August, died Saturday, Sept. 25,1999, in a jet-ski boating accident in Pensacola, Fla. Because of the death of her brother, Cameron Richmond, her ser- vices have been postponed until 1 p.m. Friday, October 1, 1999. She was an honor student and a member of the National Honor Society. Survivors include her parents, the Rev. Randall G. Pallbearers will be Alex McKowen III, John Fred Richmond, Jr., Robert Richmond, Hewitt Townsend, Herbert Farmer and Michael Richmond.
