Dr. Mike Holloway will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Simsboro under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Robinson was born December 4, 1942 in Simsboro to Thomas Eugune Tinsley and Vinnie Cox Tinsley. She died January 22, 2013 together with her husband Jack Warren Robinson. Thelma was a life-long resident of Lincoln Parish and graduated from Simsboro High School. She was a member of Cook Baptist Church and a hard worker. Everyone knew to go see Mrs. Thelma at Baldwin’s for just the right gift. After more than thirty years of being employed in retail, Thelma and Kenneth became owners of Sears of Ruston and operated this business until her retirement in 2007. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling across the United States, Canada, and abroad meeting new people and making new friends. Some of her favorite pastimes were attending swim class at Louisiana Tech, gardening from sun up to sun down, and especially shopping and finding a great bargain. She was preceded in death by of her first husband forty-four years, Kenneth Brewster. Mrs. Robinson is survived by her two daughters: Stacia and husband David Emerson of Ft. Worth, TX and Shannon and husband Joseph Brown of Ruston, LA; three step sons: Rodney Robinson and wife Peggy of Quitman, LA, Darrell Robinson and wife Susan of West Monroe, LA and Keith Robinson and wife Peggy of Vicksburg, MS; two sisters: Gerlad Autrey of Lafayette, LA and Maxine and husband Danny Holtzclaw of Simsboro, LA; one brother: Edward Tinsley of Simsboro, LA. and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be: Phil Holtzclaw, Eddie Tinsley, Michael Tinsley, Michael Mayzel, Dylan Burgess and Austin Burgess. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ladies of the Birthday Club. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2013 at Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Ruston.
