January 22, 2000, Virginia Ann Shelby Scott, daughter of Loree
Simpson Shelby, left us to enter into eternal rest, joining her fa-
ther, Harvey B. Shelby, and brother, Harold W. Shelby.

Ann was born in Ruston October 19,1938.

Surviving Ann are her children, John Michael Cowan of Dallas,
Texas; Patricia Leah Herrington of Metairie, and Sharon Renee Motto
of Destrehan; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; an 
extended family; and a host of friends.

As per her request, Ann was cremated Jan. 23, 2000.  Her remains
will be buried January 26, 2000.

A graveside service is planned at the Simsboro Cemetery for family
and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's memory to Cancer/AIDS
charities would be deeply appreciated.
