Because, we have seen the power of his christian life in our church. In times of indecision or uncertainty you must have looked to him for guidance and spiritual power, and now his absence leads you to look above for guidance directly from your Heavenly Father, who doeth all things well. He worked faithful as one of our Trustee Board Members. Bro. Pink Sherman was born February 14, 1888 to Mrs. Etta Sherman Goldsmith. He joined the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was married to Miss Frances Alexandria, who preceeded him in death. To this union six children were born. On February 28, 1971 he was married to Mrs. Rosie Hill. His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosie Sherman, Grambling LA. Six children-Earline and Herebert Sherman, Ruston LA; J.T. Sherman, Houston TX; Selma L. Donelson, Oakland CA; Amanda Bridges, Los Angeles CA; and Edward Sherman, Grambling LA. 19 Grandchildren, 13 Great Great Grandchildren, 3 Sisters-Addie Hall, Monroe LA; Mrs. Flinnie Standifer, Rayville, LA; Mrs. Florence Franklin, Seattle, WA. 4 Brothers-Ceophous Goldsmith, Oakland, CA; Almer and J.Y. Goldsmtih, Arcadia LA; and Malvin Goldsmith, Downsville LA; and a host of relatives and friends.
