Kidd, on north Vienna Street, after many months of suffering, and was buried yesterday afternoon in Ruston cemetery. Funeral services were held at the residence at four o'clock in the afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. A. Wray, pastor of the First Baptist church of this city, and both funeral and burial were attended by a large crowd of relatives and friends of the family. Mrs. Kidd has been in very bad health for several years and for more than a month past she has lingered at the brink of the “river of life”- being held back, as it were, by only a tiny cord - her soul being released Saturday night and she passed over the dark waters where pain and suffering is unknown. Mrs. Kidd is the widow of the late Mr. Milton B. Kidd, her husband dying about twenty years ago, and mother of Captain Emmett L. Kidd, of this city, and the mother-in-law of Jas. M. Smith, of Baton Rouge, and besides these, she leaves grandchildren- children of J. M. Smith- a large number of close relatives and a host of warm friends to mourn her death.
