                  James Atkins Tarver, Jr.


Graveside services for James Atkins Tarver, Jr., 48, of Baton
Rouge, LA will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 1999 at
Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston with Dr. Merlin Merrill
officiating.

Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel
Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mr. Tarver died Wednesday, August 11, 1999 at his residence.

Mr. Tarver was a graduate of Ruston High School and LA Tech
University and was in the Insurance Industry in Baton Rouge.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Tarver of Baton Rouge; one
step-son, Paul J. Toups of Baton Rouge; his mother and father,
Mr. and Mrs. James Atkins Tarver, Sr. of Ruston; one sister,
Alexa Baldwin and husband, William Stanley Baldwin, of Ruston;
and one nephew, Brian Baldwin and wife, Tiffany, of Ruston.
