ROY TIMS Farrar Funeral Home Farmerville, LA Funeral services for Mr. Roy Tims, 75 of Choudrant will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 9, 2000 at the Ruston Church Of Christ 1-20 Ruston with Bro. Jerry Norman and Bro. Bob Swain officiating. Burial will be at Douglas Cemetery near Ruston. Arrangements under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr, Tims, a retired welder and oil field worker died Friday, Jan- uary 7, 2000 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. He was born in Bienville on November 17, 1923 to the union of Sidney and Josie Linton Tims. He was a member of Ruston Church of Christ 1-20 West. He was a US Army Veteran where he served as Master Sergeant, Tank Battalion In WWII and the Korean War. He was preceded In death by his parents, Sidney A. Tims and Josie Linton Tims; two sisters, Toy Smith and Fronie Emory; two children, Linda Kay Tims and Kenneth Wayne Tims. Survivors include his wife of 48 years. Marie McGough Tims of Choudrant; one son, Stanley A. Tims of Choudrant; three daughters: Roetta Jarmon of Choudrant, Brenda Fraiser and husband Jeff of Mineral Springs and Gail Gibson and husband Kenneth of Delhi; one brother George Tims of Tomball, TX; three sisters: Bargie Smith and husband Ed A. Smith, Ruth Sanderson and husband Jerald and Dennie Harell, all of Choudrant; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard Breen, Stanley A. Tims, Dewight Smith, Jimmy Pitts, Billy Emory and Brian Tucker.
