Mrs. Mamie Cheatwood

Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Farrar Cheatwood, 97, of Ruston will be held 
at 10 a.m. Friday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston with Dr. Connie 
Ward Officiating.

Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City, Ark., under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Cheatwood died Wednesday at Alpine Guest Care Center in Ruston following 
a lengthy illness.

A native of Union Parish, she had resided in Ruston for the past 37 years and 
was a member of First Baptist Church in Ruston. She was an active member of 
WMU, KIT Senior Citizens Club and a Gold Star Mother.

Survivors include two sons, Fred Ferrar of Beaumont, Texas, and Clyde Ferrar 
Sr. of Dubach; two grandsons, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-
grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight and from 8:30 a.m. until service time 
Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ervin Bridges, Mike Brown, Jimmy Ferguson, Marvin Fowler, 
James Hamilton and Oliver Roan.

Any planned memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Additional Comments:
The correct spelling is Farrar, not Ferrar. Mamie was preceded in death by her 
first husband, Cornelius L. Farrar and her second husband, John William 
Cheatwood. She was the second wife of John William Cheatwood.
