                    Kilpatrick Funeral Home
                           Ruston, LA

TRINITY, TX - Services for Karen Vining, 36, of Trinity, TX will be
held at 2PM Sunday, January 30, 2000 at Trinity United Methodist
Church with Rev.  Fred Wideman officiating, assisted by Rev.  Rolly
Walker and Dr. Doug McGuire. Interment will be in the Antioch
Cemetery in Simsboro under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home
of Ruston.

Karen died Thursday, January 27, 2000 in Tyler, TX.

Karen graduated from Louisiana Tech where she earned a Masters
Degree in Physical Education and a Masters Degree in Counseling. 
She was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and was a longtime fan
and supporter of the Lady Techsters.  She had been a coach at
Westwood High School In Palestine, TX, Trinity High School in
Trinity, TX  and Ruston High School in Ruston, LA. Karen was
Guidance Counselor of the Onalaska Independent School District In
Onalaska TX and was a counselor for many years at Camp Olympia in
Trinity, TX.

Survivors are her parents: Kirby and Jackie Vining of Ruston;
sister Alice Vining of Ruston; brother Michael Vining of Arlington,
TX; and numerous other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will be cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Methodist Children's Home, the
Louisiana Tech Foundation, or the Church or Charity of donor's
choice.

Visitation will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home from 5 PM until 7 PM
Saturday, January 29, 2000.
