LEE YOUNG Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA RUSTON, LA - Services for E. Lee Young, 89, of Ruston will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 29, 2000 at Trinity United Methodist Church Sanctuary with Rev. Fred Wideman, Rev. Rolly Walker, Dr., Doug McGuire, and Rev. Jimmy Pyles officiating. Interment will be in Vienna Cemetery in Vienna, LA with Masonic Graveside Rites under the direction of Kilpatrick Fu-neral Home of Ruston. Mr. Young died Monday, March 27, 2000 in Ruston, LA following a short illness. E. Lee Young was born in Catahoula Parish near Jonesville on March 27, 1911, the son of Ernest Lee Young, Jr.,and Annie Cotton Young. He graduated from Block High School in Jonesville and at-tended Louisiana Tech University. He was an active merchant in Jonesville and Ruston where he founded E. Lee Companies Inc. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church and served on the official Boards of the Jonesville and Trinity Churches. He was a 50 year member of several Masonic Bodies includ-ing 4 Rivers Lodge of Jonesville and Ruston Lodge #106 where he served as Master. He also served on the State Grand Lodge as an appointed official twice. He was a member of the Ruston Kiwanis Club for nearly 50 years and served on the Board of Directors. He served on the Board of Directors of the Ruston State Bank and Heritage Financial Corporation for 26 years. He was an active sup-porter of the Louisiana Tech University having served as a member of the Board of Direc-tors of the Greater Tech Foundation. He was elected to the Town Council of Jonesville and served as Mayor Protem of the Town. Mr. Young was pre-ceded in death by a brother, H. T. Young of Jonesville and sis-ter Sarah Elizabeth Young of Houston, TX. Survivors are his wife of 62 years: Armede Wilks Young; son: Ernest L. Young III and wife, Andrea; daughter: Sarah Beth Vosburg and husband, Bill; eight grandchildren: Ernest L. Young IV and wife, Cathy; Vir-ginia Gay Young; Roxanne Young, all of Ruston, LA; Lori Cupps and husband, Brian of St. Louis, MO; Grace Young of Cincinnati, OH; Eddie Vosburg and wife, Erica; Mark Vosburg, Michael Vosburg and wife, Lind-sey all of Dallas, TX; and two great grandsons, Jacob Cupps Of St. Louis, MO, and Will Vosburg of Dallas, TX; He is al-so survived by two brothers: Dayton B. Young and wife, Lu-cille of Jonesville, LA; and R. Dale Young and wife, Martha of Farmerville, LA; two sisters: Ef-fie Elaine Carter of Arcadia, LA; and Myrtle Bartmess of Jonesville, LA. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be the Ruston Kiwanis Club, The Directors of the Heritage Finan-cial Corporation, Travis Melton and Bill Best. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2000 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the E. Lee and Armede W. Young endowment at Louisiana Tech University or to Trinity United Methodist Church.
