It is situated one mile north of U.S. Highway 190 near the junction of the north-south Smith Road with another parish road which runs east-west and is unnamed. The cemetery is on the west side of the hard-surfaced Smith Road. It is shown on the U.S. Geological Survey Map, Amite Quadrangle, 1959, as the Bankston Cemetery. The cemetery consists of only a small area which is enclosed by a wire fence with treated posts. There appeared to be a few unmarked graves.
