Source:  Mr. Eldo Easterly led Lucille Bowman Cooper and Vanda Smiley Duplessie to the site on 
November 14, 1978.  He said this property is part of 1500 acres that had once belonged to his 
grandfather Spiller.

Note:  Earlier records indicate 25 or 30 unmarked graves.  There was also a cemetery for the 
negroes on this property, however, none are marked.  Located in 1st ward, four miles north of 
Watson, and west of La. Hwy. 16.  This is on the property of Mr. Alton Easterly.
