The LaGenWeb Archives thanks them for their contribution.Location of cemetery: South Center of Section 42, T. 5 S., R. 6 EThis cemetery is located seven miles north of the Town of Holden; threemiles above the Starns Bridge, on the east side of the Holden-Montpelierroad. Mr. Milburn Cannon of Holden took me to this cemetery. It issituated on the old winding Montpelier dirt road which was abandoned whenthe present gravel road, state highway no. 441, was built on the townshipline. The old road is now a mere cow path.To find the cemetery, take the path on the east side of the Montpelier roadwhich leads in a northeast direction from the junction o fthe first timbercompany road with the Montpelier road. Then walk about 1,000 feet. Thecemetery will be on the south side of the path. If you come to CrookedCreek, you have gone too far because the cemetery is located south of it.The cemetery is surrounded by an old iron fence. It contains two graveswith headstones. These graves have been neglected.Source: Personal visit by Clark Forrest, Jr., Holden, Louisiana 70744November 19, 1972The following information was inscribed on the headstones:Luly A.
