Her informants were Cleo Watson McDearmond, Clifford Watson, Margaret Dupont Broussard, 
and Hayard Dupont on August 8, 1979.

William Watson and Abigail Torrance, both died in the early 1830's, both are buried on the 
Family Cemetery, (Private) near their home on the Amite River, both graves are unmarked, 
but location is well known by members or descendants of theirs. *

According to Mr. Clifford Watson, Baton Rouge, La., this couple is buried about 2 acres 
south of the Watson Cemetery on the old home place in two sunken, umarked graves.  It is 
believed that the site referred to as the Watson Cemetery may have been before the Port 
Vincent Community Cemetery was donated in 1838 by Vincent Scivicque, and mostly Black are 
buried there.  Mr. Watson recalls being told that an old Negro slave of Peter Salassi was 
buried there.
