WILLIS BAYOU A small stream located in the lower western part of Livingston Parish, Willis Bayou originates in Section 43 and ends in Section 42 of T8S-R3E at which point it flows into Gray's Creek. It is named for William R. Willis, who owned most of the land through which Willis Bayou flows. Willis and his wife Catherine and their sons, S.W. and James L., purchased the land on June 30, 1806 from Joseph Alamo, the original owner who had cultivated it since 1790.
