Reprinted by permission. Dedicated to the memory of Reuben Cooper and Raymond Riggs. EULAR POST OFFICE was located on the Springfield Road east of Watson from Sept. 11, 1903 until May 21, 1913 at a general merchandise store owned by Frank Coxe, who named the post office for his daughter, Mrs. Eula Coxe Jones, now a resident of Denham Springs. A two-room school, Cedar Grove, and a business owned by Mrs. Jones' grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William P. Coxe, were located in this area. The latter was a cotton gin, saw mill, and sugar cane mill. According to Mrs. Jones, her uncle, Silas E. Coxe, was also a post- master there after her family moved to Old Field.
