He was a World War II veteran having served in the US Coast Guard. Mr. Achord was retired from Exxon USA after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, An avid LSU fan, hunter, fisherman, and rose garden enthusiast. Visitation was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Baton Rouge with entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum. He is survived by three daughter and two sons-in-law; a son and daughter-in- law; a brother; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
