ASHFORD, RITA RICHEY

Rita Richey Ashford, 86 of Denham Springs died Aug 5, 2009 at Hospice of Baton 
Rouge Inpatient Unit, Baton Rouge.  She was past matron of Myrtle Celeste 
Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 231, and had dual membership with Istrouma 
OES 162.  She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Denham Springs.

Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, with an Order of the 
Eastern Star service.  Burial was in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge.

A daughter; daughter-in-law; special cousin; four grandchildren; and six great-
grandchildren survive her.

Her husband, Carl J. Ashford; a son, Richey Dana Ashford; a son-in-law, W. J. 
Whitehead; and parents preceded her in death.
