He was a native of Pride and a US Marine Corp veteran of World War II. He was a retired constable with East Baton Rouge Parish with 18 years of service and was also a retired employee of the East Baton Rouge school system. He was a member of The Church of Latter-day Saints. Visitation was held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Monday August 23, 2010 and resumed on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 until the religious services conducted by Bishop Stephen Cutler followed by interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He was survived by two daughters, a son and daughter-in-law, a sister, three brothers, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his wife, Helen Guedry Aucoin; four brothers, William, Gardner, Milton and Ivy Aucoin; and two sisters, Emma White and Tressie Noble.
