She was 84 and a resident and native of Maurepas. Visitation was at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday. Visitation continued at St. Stephan Catholic Church in Whitehall on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the Rev. Gerald LeFebvre celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Interment was in Whitehall Cemetery. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, two sons, seven grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; brother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Valture J. Aydell Sr.; parents, Peter and Louise Vicknair; four brothers; two sisters; a grandson; and a great- grandson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to North Oaks Hospice, Sister June, her nurse, Jeanne, her aide, Bertel, and all the staff.
