She was a native of Maurepas. Dorothy was better known as Pat and was a retired nurse and a former member of New River Baptist Church of St. Amant. A devoted Christian she later joined First Baptist Church of Bonneau SC. Visitation was held on Saturday Jan 24, 2009 at New River Baptist Church in St. Amant from 11 am until the funeral service at 11 am with interment in New River Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Amant. Her devoted husband of 58 years, a daughter, a son, five grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandson survives her. She was preceded in her death by her brothers, Royal and Alden Lauzervich Sr.; and sisters, Elfreda Batts and Ruth Batemanshe In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of Charleston, 3870 Leeds Ave., Suite 101, North Charleston, SC 29405 or your local hospice.
