He was a native of McComb MS and was co-owner and business manager of KOA Campground in Denham Springs for 38 years along with his brother, and his son. He was a true angel here on Earth and a protector to all he knew and always giving to everyone, always hiring people in need of work regardless of whether he needed help or not and always giving everyone a fair chance to prove themselves. His family was his No. 1 priority and he was a huge supporter of his community, providing living accommodations to countless people until they were able to get back on their feet. He was a local musician and co-owner of the bands Fantasy and Steel Toe Cowboy, Presidents of Dog Gone Good Records and K&C Louisiana Music Factory. He loved traveling and seeing the country; not missing anything there was to see along the way; gaining the insight to see what he needed to do to improve his business and to meet the needs of the traveling public; and always doing the work himself. Visitation was held at Southside Baptist Church in Denham Springs on Tuesday May 7, 2009 and resumed on Wednesday until funeral services with interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. His wife, his father, his mother, two daughters and sons-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, a half brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, five grandchildren, two nieces, a nephew, and a cousin survive him. Preceding him in death was his daughter, Denise Michelle Bacot; grandparents, Fred and Bessie Bacot and Cecil and Mary Hanks; grandchild, Elizabeth Anne Watts; mother-in-law, Margaret Elizabeth Ingram; and father-in-law, George C. Ingram.
