BALLARD, JOSEPHINE MARIE MERCANTE

Josephine Marie Mercante Ballard 74 of Walker died Friday Oct 2, 2009 at 
Ochsner of Baton Rouge, She was a native of Hammond, LA,

Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Sunday, Oct 4, 2009 
and on Monday, Oct 5 until funeral services in the funeral home chapel.  
Interment was in Carter Cemetery in Springfield.

Six daughters and sons-in-law, two sons and daughters-in-law, a brother, and 
numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive her.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph Rodrick Ballard Sr.; her 
parents, Sam and Mary Dorsey Mercante; a daughter, Sylvia; a son, James; a 
sister, Phoenie Mercante; and a brother, Nat Mercante.
