Melanie Ruth Causey Bankston, aged 64, died on August 28, 2006 at Lallie Kemp 
Regional Medical Center, Independence.

She was a native of Holden, Resident of Tickfaw and manager of the seafood 
department at Winn-Dixie in Amite.

She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Donald S. Bankston, Sr.; son, 
Donald S. Bankston, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Wayne and Christina 
Bankston; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie Ann Bankston Patterson and Tom 
Patterson; five grandsons, Jason Bruce Ross, Davaid Glenn Ross, Sam Bankston, 
Marshall Bankston an Billy Bankston; and brother, Emerson Causey, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emerson Cornelius Causey Sr. and 
Florence Hinson Causey.

Visitation at Geisler Funeral Home in Albany on Wednesday, August 30 from 6 
until 9 p.m., and on Thursday after 8:30 a.m. until the religious service at 
10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow in Stafford Cemetery, Holden.

Geisler Funeral Home of Albany in charge of arrangements.
