Carl Barksdale  



Carl Lee Barksdale, 43, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at his home in 
Albany. Some of his favorite pastimes included duck hunting, fishing, boat 
riding, golfing, riding his Harley Davidson, but most importantly, spending 
time with his children. 

He leaves behind his loving children, Erin and Stephen Barksdale; former wife 
and mother of his children, Jennifer Daniels Barksdale; parents, James Oliver 
and Lynda Barksdale; sister, Shelly Barksdale; brothers, James “Snooty” 
Barksdale Jr. and wife Jackie, and Eric Barksdale; seven nephews; and a niece. 

Preceding Carl in death were his grandparents, Grady and Ruth Barksdale and 
Miller and Ruth Glass. 

Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the funeral 
services at Little River Pentecostal Church, Tickfaw, on Monday and Tuesday 
until the funeral service. The Rev. Adriene Spikes officiated the services. 
Interment followed in the church cemetery. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home of 
Hammond.
