Livingston Parish News-July 30, 2009
BASS, JON ALAN

Jon Alan Bass, a resident of Springfield, and a native of Orange, TX died July 
26, 2009 in an automobile accident.  He was 53 and co-owner of Mainstreet 
Autoplex in Ponchatoula.  He was a LSU fan and an excellent jambalaya cook.

Surviving him are his loving wife, two sons and daughters-in-law, his mother, 
stepdaughter, stepson, and five grandchildren and 13 siblings.

Preceding him in death were his father, James E. Bass, Sr., and his brother 
James E. Bass, Jr.,  

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 
Ponchatoula.  Visitation was held at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home.

The family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Ochsner 
Clinic Foundation, Greg Smith Transplant Fund, Philanthropy Department, 1514 
Jefferson Hwy, BH Suite 240, New Orleans, LA  70121
