She was born on Sept 30, 1930 in Hammond and married her husband on Dec 24, 1944. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Denham Springs. Her family resided in Hammond, Bogalusa, Houma and Baton Rouge, where she had lived for the past 32 years. Visitation was held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Monday, Feb 22, 2010 and resumed on Tuesday, Feb 23, 2010 until the funeral service with interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Her husband of 61 years, two daughters and a son-in-law, three granddaughters, a grandson, two great-grandsons, two sisters, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and very special friends, survives her. Preceding her in death were her parents, Wise White and Zora Compton White; two brothers, Jim White and Ogden White; and two sisters, Lillian Landry and Zelda DeHaan.
