Bennett April 2001 Flora Holden Miley Brashear died at 5a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at her daughter's home in Watson. She was 57, a resident of Denham Springs and native of Amite. Visitation was at Seale funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday and Thursday. Religious services were at Milldale Baptist Church, Pride, on Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Robertson. Internment was in Milldale Baptist Church cemetery Pride. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law. Glynda Miley and Tank Melcher of Watson; a son, M. Wayne Miley of Denham Springs; 11 sisters, Mary Sagnibene Theaux of Amite, Leminda Lefrances of Baton Rouge, Roma Carol Corley, Molly Arnold of Dallas, Texas, Cathy Derrey of LaBelle, Fla. Emily Conley of Alexandria, Brenda Arnone of Amite, Linda Smith of Amite, Glenda Cox of Tylertown, Miss., and Sabrina Policheck of Amite; two brothers, David Hazelwood of Waverly, Tenn. And James Hazelwood of Houston, Texas; two step-sisters, Betty Perkins and Mildred Cobb of Baton Rouge; a step-brother; Billy Joe Bradham of Amite; three grandchildren, Vance Melcher and Caleb and Theresa Miley; and an aunt, Mallory Wren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elvin Miley; second husband Emmett Brashear; and parents, Dewitt Holden and Evelyn Loraine Ellis Hazelwood.
