SR. Clyde A. Britt Sr., 86 of Denham Springs died on Friday, October 1, 2010 at his home. He was a native of Baton Rouge and was born on October 9, 1923. He was retired from Bell South with 37 years of service and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the US Marine Corp between 1941-1945 and saw action on Guadalcanal and Tarawa. He was a member of the American Legion post in Denham Springs. Visitation was held at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Sunday, October 3, 2010 and resumed on Monday, October 4, 2010 until the funeral service with interment following in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, three daughters and sons-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law, and his very special cat, Boots, seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his father, Willie Elie Brit Sr.; his mother, Willie Edna Britt; a brother, W.E. Britt Jr.; and a sister, Charlene Britt Valie.
