She was a native of Baton Rouge and a graduate of Walker High School. She survived in the US Army, beginning her career by serving a year in Turkey followed by service in Operation Desert Storm in Kuwait and during Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. She was awarded the Southwest Asia Service Medal with a bronze star and the Army Achievement Medal on four occasions. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Wednesday, Dec 16, 2009 and resumed on Thursday, Dec 17, 2009 from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am. Burial with military honors was in Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary. Her parents, three sisters and a brother-in-law, two brothers and sisters-in- law, three aunts and an uncle, nieces and nephews survive her. Preceding her in death was a brother, Tommy Morales.
