He was a veteran of the US Army and worked for many years as an electrician. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 995 and was also a member of Comite Baptist Church. A graveside service was held in Evergreen Memorial Park on Thursday, 25, 2010. The service was officiated by Rev. Carl Rushing. His wife, a son, two daughters, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three brothers and a sister survive him. Preceding him in death were his parents, Julius Wilson Browning Sr., and Marjorie Teekle Browning. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in J.W.’s honor to any disable veterans association.
