Burge, 75 a resident of Livingston Parish, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. Jim served and defended his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. He also retired from Dow Chemical after many years of service. One of his proudest achievements, however, was serving his Lord and church for 50 years as a deacon of Red Oak Baptist Church in Livingston. In his spare time after retirement, he spent the next 13 years traveling all over the world. Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Livingston, Tuesday Dec 30, 2008 and Wednesday Dec 31, 2008 until services, officiated by his son. Burial was in New Red Oak Cemetery in Livingston.
