BURLEIGH, SANDRA LYNNE NEWMAN

Sandra Lynne Newman Burleigh 61 of Watson died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 
Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City.  She was an office manager for 
Dr. C. Surek in Zachary.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic 
Church where she taught CCD.  She was a published poet and captain in Civil 
Air Patrol.

Visitation was held at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary on Wednesday, March 31, 
2010 with a rosary and resumed on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at St. John the 
Baptist Catholic Church until Rite of Christian Burial conducted by the Rev M. 
Jeffery Bayhi and a graveside service was held at Bellview Memorial Park in 
Opelousas.

Her husband of 18 years, three sons and two daughters-in-law, and six 
grandchildren survives her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Herman and Messie Newman.
