She was a retired police officer with the Baton Rouge City Police Department, where she served 10 years before taking a medical retirement. She was born June 6, 1944 in Baton Rouge. Visitation was held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Sunday, June 7, 2009 and resumed on Monday until celebration into heaven with interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, five children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, a half brother, a half sister, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her mother-in-law, three brothers-in- law and their wives, and a sister-in-law and her husband. Preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur F. Little and Velora Gremillion Little Hotard; a grandchild, Wesley Cambre; her father-in-law, Joseph D. Cambre Jr.; and several aunts and uncles. Memorial donations may be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. A Special thanks goes to the Doctors and all the nurses of the chemotherapy and radiation units, who all became more friends than health providers. Thanks also to all the staff in the MICU unit at the hospital.
