She was a native of Pine Bluff AK and was a member of First Baptist Church in Denham Springs, where her husband was pastor for 10 years. He was then pastor of First Baptist Church of Corinth MS for 15 years before he retired and they returned to Denham Springs. She served the churches as Sunday School teacher, held offices with the Mississippi State Women’s Missionary Unions and was helpmate to Rev Causey in all phases of his ministry. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 and resumed on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 until religious services in the funeral home chapel with interment in Denham Springs Memorial Park. A son, a sister and brother-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive her. Preceding her in death was her husband, the Rev. John Milton Causey; a daughter, Gwen Causey; her parents, Charles Leo and Maude Atchison; two sisters and three brothers.
