CLARY, CALVIN COMBS SR

Calvin Combs Clary Sr., 78 of Denham Springs died Saturday, December 25, 2010 
at his home surrounded by his family.  He was a member of Lockhart Road 
Baptist Church in Denham Springs and was a member of IBEW Local 995.  He won 
the national championship in boxing with LSU in 1953 and was inducted into the 
LSU Sports Hall of Fame in 1954.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  

Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Monday, 
December 27, 2010 and resumed on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Lockhart Road 
Baptist Church in Denham Springs until the services conducted by the Rev Lee 
Ostten followed by interment in Roselawn Memorial Park in Baton Rouge.

He was survived by his wife of 22 years, two sons and daughters-in-law, two 
daughters and sons-in-law, two sisters, two brothers and numerous nieces and 
nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Melba Combs Clary; and a 
niece, Toni Tridico.
