Tyrus Ellis Cobbs; Jr. died July 17, 2009.  He was 83.  He was a former 
resident of Lafayette, LA.

Mr. Cobbs had retired from Exxon after 40 years of service.  He was also 
served in the US Navy Reserve for 16 years.

Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs.

He was survived by his wife of 55 years, a daughter, five sons, and sevem 
gramdchildren, three step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; a 
sister-in-law and a brother-in-law.

His parents, Tyrus Ellis Cobb, Sr. and Adelia "teetnan" Cobb. a grandson 
Jeremy Cobb, and brother Donald Cobb.


He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, and 
former Vice-President of District 2 Water Board for more than 15 years.

Family requested that instead of flowers donations be made to the American 
Cancer Society.
