She was 87, born June 7, 1923. She is survived by her husband, four children and their spouses, seven grandchildren and their spouses, six great-granddaughters; three great- grandsons; two great-great-granddaughters; two step-great-grandsons, a step- great-great-grandson, and three step-children, three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Valsie Schillings and Alma Lambert Schillings; three sisters; a brother; and the father of her four children, Sam Jenkins. Visitation was at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Sunday until services, conducted by the Rev. Denny Brumfield of Franklinton. Interment was at Colonial Cemetery in Independence. Elsie Mae loved life, her family and lived life to its fullest. She will be missed very much by her family and friends.
