He was a student at North Corbin Elementary. Alex was a beautiful, bright little boy who loved being outdoors more than anything. He had a passion for riding his bike, swimming, collecting in sects and playing games with his cousins. Alex also loved animals dearly and never met a cat he couldn’t befriend. He would have celebrated his 10th birthday on June 17. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Friday, May 19, 2009 and resumed at Judson Baptist Church in Walker on Saturday May 20, 2009 from 9 am until the services at 10 am with interment in Judson Baptist Church Cemetery. His mother, a sister, a brother, his grandparents, two great-aunts, four aunts, three uncles, and three cousins survive him. Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents, Floyd and Hazel Gay, and Leon and Wilma Lovett; and great-aunt, Susan Corbett In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to North Corbin Elementary Bike Safety Campaign, PO Box 238, and Walker LA 70785.
