He was a retired electrical engineer and was a native of New Orleans. Don received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Southwestern Louisiana University and was the founder and former owner of Perfco Wineline Services in Houma. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time at his camp in Grand Isle. Visitation was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Kenner on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 until Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev Richard M. Miles with entombment in St. Charles Borromeo Church Mausoleum in Destrehan. His mother, two daughters and sons-in-law, two sisters, a brother and sister-in-law, and three grandchildren survive him. Preceding him in death was his wife Patti Martin Cordell; and his father, O. E. “Gene” Cordell. In lieu of flowers Masses are preferred.
