SPRINGFIELD, Mrs. Edna Cox, a native of Killian, died Thursday, March 22, 201 at North Oaks Medical Center at the age of 80.  She was senior choir president at Sweet Home Baptist Church

Mrs. Cox was survived by five sons, Selven Cox, Jr. and Eld Anthony Cox, Sr., both of Hammond, and Wilson Cox, Sherman Cox, and Russell Lee Cox, all of Springfield, and two sisters, Frances Claborne, Chicago, and Aline Bradstreet, Killian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Selven Cox, Sr., two brothers, Allen Claborne, and Elijah Claborne; and two sisters, Ella Lee, and Clara Bell Claborne.

Visitation was at Richardson Funeral Home from 3 until 6 pm. And from 8:30 am at Sweet Home Baptist Church.

The Funeral was held Monday March 26 at Sweet Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Hart officiating</P>
<P>Burial was at Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
